WARNING: Running Outlook and DigiScope simultaneously may cause connectivity issues.
NOTE: While DigiScope can be installed directly on the Exchange server it is OPTIONAL to do so, i.e. you can install DigiScope on any machine that meets the DigiScope System Requirements
To effectively use DigiScope, the following Microsoft Exchange system requirements must be met:
NOTE: There are 32-bit and a 64-bit versions of DigiScope. Lucid8 highly recommends using the 64-bit installation. Only use the 32-bit version if you need to open an offline .EDB for Exchange 5.5, 2000 or 2003 database.
NOTE: Microsoft
does not completely support concurrent MAPI sessions between Microsoft
Outlook and other products running on the same machine with the same user
session.
While both
products may be installed on the same machine without issue, we highly
recommend that you do not
attempt
running DigiScope and Outlook at the same time.
The symptoms of running DigiScope and Outlook simultaneously under the
same user session may manifest as repeated requests for security credentials
or the inability to access one or more mailboxes from either product.
In order to open any attachments found or extracted with DigiScope, the native application or a compatible application for that attachment type must be installed and operational.
For example, an attachment of type ".XLS" would require Microsoft Excel, whereas a ".PDF" attachment may require Adobe Acrobat Reader or a similar PDF reader application.
DigiScope is supported on the following operating systems:
