Requesting a License

Lucid8 offers several licensing options as outlined in the Available License Types section of this help file.

WARNING: Once a license is assigned to a database, it is non-transferable.  So before licensing any Offline or Production databases, we highly recommend requesting a DEMO license to test accessing the Exchange databases to ensure the desired messaging information can be accessed.

NOTE: To open 64-bit Offline Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016 databases, you must install DigiScope® on a 64-bit operating system.

  1. Start the License request process by clicking the Request License link in the right hand section of the Offline Panel as shown above or click the Tools > Licensing > Request License menu option.

  2. Before the License Request wizard can proceed, information needed for the request is gathered.

  3. The DigiScope® License Request wizard appears and the Welcome page is displayed. Click the Next > button to continue.

  4. Next, the User Information page is displayed. If available, the user and company information are automatically populated, otherwise you must enter the information manually. Please verify the information is correct (required fields are bold, incomplete fields are red) and then click the Next > button to continue.

NOTE: This information will be used during license generation. Therefore, ensure that you have entered the correct email address for the person receiving the DigiScope® license.

  5. Next, the Machine Information page is displayed. Confirm the information and note that it will be sent to Lucid8 to process the license request. Click the Next > button to continue.

  6. Now, continue to the appropriate section based upon the type of license you will be requesting:
