Exporting Data

After Adding and Mounting the desired Offline source or Adding and Connecting to the desired Production source, data within the files can be exported to a designated location. However, before exporting data you may want to consider filtering the Offline or Production source for the following reasons:

  1. Applying a filter to the Offline or Production source allows the operator to limit the number of mailboxes and sub-folders viewed within the DigiScope console.

  2. Once a filter is applied, Restore and Export actions will only be taken against the unfiltered items. For example, executing Export to PST against a database will only export the mailboxes and sub-folders to a Personal Folder (PST) file that have not been filtered.

NOTE: Before attempting to Restore or Export data, review the DigiScope Options Configuration Dialog to ensure that the options for the desired results are set.
