NOTE: Offline databases or PSTs must be mounted and Production server databases must be connected before performing Search (eDiscovery) actions.

DigiScope® lets you Search Offline EDBs, PSTs or Production Exchange servers for specific messaging items that are defined by criteria you enter within the Search for Keywords and Phrases field.  In addition, you can define the scope of your search within one or more Offline EDBs, PSTs or Production Exchange servers mailboxes or folders (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc).  Upon completion of the search you may then refine the search or take the desired Recovery, Export or Deletion action against the search results.

NOTE: DigiScope® also supports the use of Regular Expression (RegEx) which is a string of text used to describe search patterns. You can think of regular expressions as wildcards on steroids. You are probably familiar with wildcard notations such as *.txt to find all text files in a file manager. The RegEx equivalent is .*\.txt$. It is important to note that the RegEx feature is very powerful and intended for advanced users only. You can learn more about it in the Using RegEx section of this documentation.
