The Production Tree contains production sources, i.e. connections to production online Exchange servers and Personal Folder (PST) files that have been added.
WARNING: Running Outlook and DigiScope simultaneously may cause connectivity issues.
Data can be Restored, Deleted, Undeleted, Searched, and Exported from a Production source.
Production sources are dynamic in that they may be modified, updated, and changed by restoring data into them. In the case of Exchange databases, they are always changing, since users within the organization are constantly sending, modifying and receiving new data.
Available Production sources are:
Exchange databases in online production Exchange servers.
Previously created Personal Folder (PST) files, or new PST files created during data export.
NOTE: If
you are making use of archive mailboxes in Exchange 2010 or higher, you
will be able to see those mailboxes identified in the Production
tree in DigiScope.
Unfortunately for offline sources, If you are using a separate database
for your archive mailboxes, you will need a separate license for that
database if you wish to interact with your archive mailboxes.
