When you attempt to mount an offline database using either the menus or the wizards, you will be presented with two options for mounting:

• Normal - DigiScope will attempt to mount the offline database normally, requiring any necessary logs and rolling up the database.

• Forensic - DigiScope will attempt to mount the database without attempting to roll up available logs or repair the database.

NOTE: Lucid8 HIGHLY RECOMMENDS using the Forensic Mount option if the LOGS are not available OR if the database is damaged.  Doing this BEFORE attempting a REPAIR since repairs is best since it can take a long time to complete a repair and in some cases may damage the database.
