Events

Events are the predefined conditions that can trigger an automatic e-mail notification.  They fall into two categories: Scheduled Events and Job Events.

The events can be further subdivided by the type of e-mail addressing that they support for the notification recipients.  Events intended to notify end users of maintenance actions will support any kind of recipient address.  Events intended to notify system operators about the status of the server or job will only support the SMTP and SMTP Pager addresses of configured GOexchange Operators.
