How come Recovery Advantage™ is FREE?

We're passionate about creating and delivering next generation disaster prevention, optimization, protection, and recovery solutions for Microsoft Exchange. We heard from our customers and prospective customers time and again that:

• Providing folder, appointment and other individual message item recovery services for end users was an extremely time consuming, yet important task.
• The ultimate solution would be one that empowered the end-user to perform these recoveries on their own.
• Doing so would not only free up IT resources for more important tasks, but it would also decrease recovery times while increasing end-user satisfaction and productivity.

Initially this solution was designed to extend the recoverability of items by the end-user by leveraging the snap capabilities of the major storage platform vendors such as Dell EqualLogic, however, during the development process it became clear that:

1. The built-in extended recovery capabilities of Microsoft Outlook were not very powerful, adequate or easy-to-use.
2. Conversely Lucid8's Recovery Advantage™ provides users with a centralized and easy to use, yet powerful Universal Recovery add-on for Outlook.
3. The more we worked with Recovery Advantage™ we realized that;
   1. Anyone using Outlook along with Microsoft Exchange would benefit greatly from our creation.
   2. And the best way to get the word out was to make the Outlook portion of Recovery Advantage available for free.

NOTE: We do not place any restrictions on commercial use of the free version of Recovery Advantage™, so you can use it at home or at work.

What's the catch?

There is no catch at all, it's just plain free!
That being said, we certainly would appreciate:

• If you think this is a great product, tell all your friends.
