End user can search for, sort, filter, preview and restore email to the live Exchange Server without any IT involvement.

How does it work?

The Server Module monitors whenever a snap copy is created and keeps an index of messages no longer on the live Exchange server but stored on the snap backup copies. When a user starts the Outlook add-in it will talk to the Server Module to retrieve the end user specific list of only their emails stored on snap copies. Once the user selected the message they want to preview or restore the Server Module will request access to the appropriate snap copies and retrieve the selected messages. All the end user will see is their, and only their available emails for restore. At no point in this process is the IT department involved at all.
