Have an Exchange database EDB file that will not mount due to missing logs, damage or corruption?
  • DigiScope resolves these issues via the Forensic Mount or Repair options as outlined below:

Exchange Database — Normal Mount

  • Executing a Normal EDB Mount: This default mount Exchange database option examines the database and if required executes log rollup to commit all changes and then mounts the database. Simply:
    • Right-click on the database and select Mount/Normal
    • DigiScope mounts the EDB database displaying the available data within
    • Execute the desired actions against mailboxes, folders, emails, appointments, tasks and other messaging items

Exchange Database — Forensic Mount

  • Executing a Forensic EDB Database Mount: This mount mailbox database option bypasses the need for log rollup and most lengthy database repairs. Simply:
    • Right-click on the database and select Mount/Forensic
    • DigiScope mounts the EDB displaying the available data within
    • Execute the desired actions against mailboxes, folders, emails, appointments, tasks and other messaging items

Exchange Database — EDB Repair

  • Step 1 — Request EDB File Repair — When dealing with an Exchange database (EDB file) that is corrupted/missing logs and will not mount with the Forensic Mount option, right-click the dismounted database and select Repair

  • Step 2 — Repairing the EDB file — The Exchange Database Repair process begins:
    • Exchange Database Header Check
    • In-depth Repair process

  • Step 3 — Mount the database and execute the desired actions with the DigiScope Exchange database repair tool — Browse, View, Search, Recover, Migrate or Export mailboxes, folders, emails, appointments, tasks and other messaging items
