Dismounting an Offline Source

If you have finished using an offline source and you wish to free up resources for other operations, you can dismount the offline source following these steps:

NOTE: DigiScope also automatically dismounts all sources upon closing the application.

1. Select the sources you want to dismount.

   • If you want to dismount a single database or PST, select just that one database.

   • If you want to dismount all of the sources within a group, select the group.

   • If you want to dismount all offline sources, select the "Offline" node at the top of the tree.

2. In the menu bar,  click File, Offline, and Dismount.
   
   

The selected offline source(s) will be dismounted.
