A GOexchange® Operator is a Windows user that is authorized to perform one or more GOexchange® operations on a GOexchange® enabled server. In order to be an Operator, a user must be part of one or more of the following Microsoft Windows Server groups.
Enterprise Admins
Domain Admins
Local Administrators group
There are four sets of GOexchange® Operator rights:
Supervisor Rights: Can add or delete other operators, configure servers, license servers, revoke license on servers. Operators with supervisor rights are called Supervisors.
Suspend GOexchange®: Can stop and resume all maintenance on GOexchange®. In essence this is the ability to lock the Server agents so that jobs won't run and users cannot modify existing schedule and job definitions.
Perform Maintenance: Can create, edit, delete, and run maintenance jobs.
View Reports: Can view History Reports, but not delete them. Also called read-only access.
You may configure an Operator using either the Configuration Wizard which is displayed during the GOexchange installation, or you may also use the Configuration Properties dialog, post-installation.
If you are in the Configuration Wizard, go to the first page, Operator Setup.
If you are in the Configuration Properties dialog, select the Operators Tab.
From here you may add or delete an Operator and adjust the rights for each Operator as well.
